With over 40 years of experience, Alpine has the know-how to deliver the kind of hard-hitting bass you want. The R2-W12D4 12″ sub capitalizes on this knowledge with a new motor structure with double-stacked magnets for deeper bass and tighter sound. Its Kevlar-reinforced pulp cone features a durable HAMR Santoprene™ surround that allows for huge amounts of excursion, and an oversized poly ceramic dust cap supplies rigidity to keep the sound tight. It’s the perfect sub for bassheads that want the best of both worlds: accurate response and otherworldly thump.
A versatile performer
The R2-W12D4 handles up to 750 watts RMS, so it’s ready for your high-powered amp. Its dual oversized 4-ohm voice coils offer wiring flexibility for multiple subwoofer setups. Since it works well in sealed or ported enclosures you’ll enjoy your music the way you like to hear it.

The tweeter reaches frequencies beyond the range of human hearing, adding the nuance your high-resolution audio sources deserve. Using technology developed for their flagship F#1 Status Series, Alpine’s Next Generation S-Series car speakers provide access to all the wondrous detail of your favorite high-resolution audio files at an appealing price. We recommend aftermarket power to drive these speakers, but even with factory power, their ultra-wide frequency response ensures a detailed, authentic sound.

The lightweight woofer cone, crafted from polypropylene, glass fiber, and mica materials, serves up the essential high output/low distortion sound required for high-res performance. The woofer’s High Amplitude Multi-Roll (HAMR) surround brings out the best in bass by allowing maximum cone movement. A 3/4″ cloth dome tweeter serves up all the high-frequency detail you’ve been missing with your factory speakers.

A 1″ separate cloth dome tweeter serves up all the high-frequency detail you’ve been missing with factory sound. Because tweeters can be challenging to install, Alpine provides in-line crossovers and a threaded removable housing to make sure you have what you need to make them sound their best.
Grilles are not included; the factory grilles should be suitable for most applications.
